Eszetts

Jameson Feakes (electric guitar), Dan O'Connor (trumpet), David Gioia (saxophone), Josten Myburgh (laptop), Alex Reid (drums)

Eszetts play improvised music, acting as a bassless quartet working amidst a context provided by live digital processing and glitchy electronics, which serve to extend the possibilities of each instrument as well as act as a fifth instrument themselves. The group takes jazz as a departure point for free improvisation, leading to dream-like sonic explorations articulated through rhythms and textures of free jazz, electro-acoustic music and post-rock, seeking fragile beauty, energetic interaction, and occasionally full-spectrum density.

The group frequently performs in smaller ensembles made up of members of the group, each with its own unique approach and identity
